About
Introduction
Hi, I’m Alex. I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who provides telehealth therapy for individuals across New York.
Many of the people I work with are thoughtful, capable individuals who have spent a lot of time taking care of others or managing life’s challenges on their own. They may struggle with anxiety, overthinking, people-pleasing, or the quiet pressure of always holding things together. Others come to therapy while navigating the emotional impact of caregiving, chronic illness, or past experiences that still shape how they see themselves and relate to others.
My Background
Before starting my private practice, I worked extensively in community mental health, supporting individuals facing complex life stressors and trauma. That experience continues to shape my approach today—I value thoughtful, compassionate care that meets people where they are, while recognizing their resilience and strengths.
Outside of my work, I value quiet time, reflection, and activities that help me stay grounded and present. I especially love any and all crafts.
If you’re looking for a therapist who offers a warm, grounded space to better understand yourself and work toward lasting change, I’d be honored to support you.
My Approach
My approach to therapy is insight-oriented, collaborative, and trauma-informed. I believe that meaningful change begins with deeper understanding—of our patterns, our experiences, and the ways we’ve learned to cope over time. In our work together, we’ll take time to explore these patterns with curiosity and compassion while also developing practical tools to help manage anxiety, set boundaries, and move through life with greater clarity and self-trust.
I draw from a range of therapeutic approaches and tailor therapy to each person rather than following a rigid model. Some of the approaches I draw from are CBT, DBT, ACT and Solution-Focused. I have additional training in Complex Trauma, Flash and Seeking Safety. My goal is to create a calm, supportive space where you can slow down, feel understood, and explore meaningful change at a pace that feels right for you.
